from the previous post. I've said about my first assignment is to make a wallpaper with the theme of the festival. I choose java jazz festival as my wallpaper theme. I'm thinking to make a unique wallpaper so I choose a black background for the base of my background. here, I begin to share my artwork.
--------------------------- assignment 1
I've search some pictures from Google and Deviantart that related with my theme, and I collect these pictures :
at first you can fix the pictures with control the images brightness and contrast, I also make it balance so all of the pictures have the same colour mode and then, I begin to work with my pictures.
PART 1 : PLAY WITH THE PICTURES
this session I named, play with the pictures. It's so easy, you just have to fix your picture first, and don't forget to make your new artwork layer, and I chose black as my base background.
after make the base background, open the pictures, select > all, edit > copy
back to your base background, edit > paste, resize your image with edit > free transform and place it nicely
do the same thing with other pictures, and then place it nicely. Arrange the pictures so it blends together and look nice, use your creativity to arrange them. If it looks strange, use erase tool to erase the certain part so the pictures will look nice.
this is the final looks after I arrange all the pictures.
-----------end of part 1-----------
PART 2 : PLAY WITH LIGHT
in this part I'll use light texture that I get from Deviantart and Shutterstock. This light effect can make your wallpaper looks more glamor. Here the texture I use for the light effect
so first, from the last post, I've already arrange the pictures but it looks flat. so I put a light effect to make it more glamor and life. here the step :
as usual, open the image, select > all, edit > copy, place it in your wallpaper, edit > paste
after that, change the blending option from normal to lighten, it will make your texture colour just show the light effect and the place it with edit > free transform
with the same step, use the other light texture and place it
another texture. If you don't have a light texture, you can use a normal picture like I use now. open your picture, select > all, edit > copy, back to your wallpaper edit > paste, place it above your arrange picture, turn the blending option to divide. If it looks messy you can fix it with erase tool.
this is the final result of part 2
-----------end of part 2-----------
PART 3 : TOUCH UP AND TEXTING
this is the last part, I just fill the empty space with another big background. I chose a music sheet image as the big background. same step with put another image.
open the image, select > all, edit > copy, edit > paste in your wallpaper, change the blending option to lighten, and the opacity to 7 % (to make soft effect of the image)
now the texting part, I just add a simple text like java jazz festival and a quote. use the type tool at the tool box
now finish, this is the final result of my assignment 1,
thankss all :D

correction of image sizeso, from the previous post, my wallpaper size is 1280 x 800 pixel. but actually it should be A4 size.
here the step to changet it.
first open the wallpaper and then open a new workspace, the new work space should be in A4 size.
on the new workpace I put a black background to make it balance with my wallpaper.
after that as usal, select all your old wallpaper, edit > copy, edit > paste on your new workspace.
edit > free-transform your image, hold the shift button to make it same with your actual size.
the bottom should be give you more space, so I put my name and id on it.
so this is the first important things, make sure your file is in A4 size and 72 dpi as resolution
heree my final result :D
I put a music video from one of the singer at Java Jazz Festival,
